Crash Bots added player trading alongside console support, and that patch quietly changed how mid-game accounts progress. Before trading, every upgrade came from crates, codes, and battle income. After trading, you can fill a missing armor piece or weapon role by swapping with another player — if you know what is fair, what is bait, and what you should never give away.

This guide covers the practical trading loop for Roblox Crash Bots: when trading helps, how to value parts and drivers, scam patterns to reject, and which promo codes arrived with the trading wave. Why trading exists in Crash Bots

Crate RNG creates duplicates. Trading turns duplicates into missing roles. A player drowning in spinner weapons but missing lance reach can swap with someone stuck on the opposite problem. That is the healthy use case. The unhealthy use case is panic-trading your only high-star chassis because a stranger promised “mythic stuff” in chat.

Trading does not replace crates. It compresses the middle of the grind once your garage has spare parts.

Coding trading in Crash Bots (developer look)

Before you open a trade

1. Redeem every live string on the codes hub — trading codes like tradinTime and sometimes doubleDOUBLE were tied to this update window.
2. Fill empty slots with Scrap crates first (Crates). Never trade from a half-empty bot.
3. Screenshot or note your inventory so you know what you started with.
4. Decide your goal slot — one weapon, one armor piece, or one driver you actually need.
5. Check weapon matchups so you do not trade into a role that loses to your local lobby meta.

What is fair to trade

Fair trades usually keep star rating and role close:

• Same-star weapon for same-star weapon in a different archetype
• Duplicate rare armor for a missing rare armor piece
• A mid driver you never equip for a driver that matches your weapon tempo

Unfair or high-risk asks:

• “Give me your best part first, I will send after”
• Asking for multiple high-star items for one common
• Trading for cosmetics when your bot still has empty sockets
• Anything that requires leaving the experience or visiting an off-platform “middleman”

If the other player rushes you, walk away. Crash Bots progression is slow enough that one bad trade costs hours of Scrap farming.

Scam patterns to reject

Treat these as automatic declines:

• Trust trades — “I am famous / rich / admin, send first.”
• Switcheroo — they show a high-star part in chat, then put a different item in the trade window.
• Fake codes — strangers selling “private codes” for your parts. Real codes are free on Discord and this wiki.
• Account / Robux deals — never trade Roblox accounts or Robux for Crash Bots items through DMs.

Only confirm what is inside the trade UI. Chat promises do not bind the game.

Trading and Mythic crates

Some code waves (notably strings like fakeCode when they still redeem) grant Mythic crates. Those opens can create the exact duplicate that makes trading valuable. Console and cross-play notes

The trading update shipped with console support. Controller players can trade too, but UI navigation is slower. If you play on console, read Controls & Console before attempting complex multi-item swaps in a busy lobby.

Cross-platform lobbies mean mobile, PC, and console players can meet. Value does not change by platform — a three-star lance is still a three-star lance.

Codes tied to the trading update

When Stouts Studio shipped trading, promo strings such as tradinTime and doubleDOUBLE appeared in tracker lists. Status flips fast. Always verify on the active codes page and the codes checker before you assume a trade-themed code is dead.

Do not accept “I will give you the code after you trade” deals. Codes are public or they are fake.

After a successful trade

1. Equip the new part immediately.
2. Run three offline battles to feel weight and reach changes.
3. Adjust your driver if the weapon class changed (Drivers).
4. Update your mental builds tier list — your personal S-tier is whatever you can actually field.
5. Skim beginner mistakes if you feel tilt after a bad deal.

When you should not trade at all

Skip trading if:

• You still have empty build slots
• You only own one copy of your best weapon
• You do not understand star ratings yet
• You are about to spend Robux on a pass that changes income — finish that decision first (Game Passes)

Session plan that uses trading well

1. Redeem codes.
2. Open Scrap crates until the bot is complete.
3. Identify one duplicate and one missing role.
4. Trade once for that role — not five times for “upgrades.”

Keep expectations grounded
